We are excited to announce Langley's 9 month birthday!! :) This past Saturday we were in disbelief that Langley is getting to be such a big girl. She is a very energetic baby...she doesn't ever stop! (not many mellow moments!) She loves the coffee table and everything on it more than any of her toys. She is cruising all around it and going back and forth from the couch. She is on all fours crawling now...finally graduated from her army crawl! She recently got two teeth that popped up. I was hoping to get a picture of them in this first pic, but I don't think you can really see them. She is a squirmer, especially when changing the diaper and while getting dressed. She loves to wave bye bye and she likes pointing at things, especially the planes that fly over our house. (We live right next to the airport, so she sees a lot of planes!) She is getting very attached to her taggy blanky now! Her blanky always calms her down and makes her think of bed time, and she usually grabs her two middle fingers when she has it with her. It seems like everytime we get better at sleeping, we end up with a cold that makes it tougher! We are slowly getting back to sleeping through the night. I don't want to jinx anything!

We are wrapping up a week of excitement here! Grandma visited for a week from South Carolina. Langley had a little cold while she was here, but it never seemed to keep her from laughing and playing with Grandma. We stayed in quite a bit so that she could get her sleep and recover from her cold. It was definitely a nice break for me!! Thanks mom for all your help. It is so nice to be able to do the simple things, like eating your breakfast, taking a shower, going for a jog, etc. without having to worry about watching Langley. We miss you already!

Langley was a surprisingly great eater all week with Grandma! She must have been putting on a show!

Grandma reading to Langley.

We went to the beach one day. Langley loved playing in her pail.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

These are a few pics from a playstations meetup we went to. We had different stations of fun stuff for the babies to touch and feel. It was really cute and the kiddos had a ball. All moms, you have to get your babies a bag of beans or bag of pasta. Langley played with the bag of beans and bag of pasta forever! Now if you open them....ready to watch them like a hawk! One mom was telling a story of how a baby stuck a bean up its nose and the parents didn't notice until months later when it was growing a plant in the babies nostril!

Last Sunday we had "cousin day" with the Arnold's. We went to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. DEfinitely got me in the mood for spring! Ranuculus' were in bloom and it was a beautiful day! Langley got so much attention from everyone!

I had to get this picture, because it perfectly shows Langley frustrated face. She does this quite a bit when she gets stuck in a standing position and doesn't know what to do next. Or maybe she couldn't reach something in her toy bin?

We went to Sea World last week. Langley's favorite part was this bouncy playground with blocks that was perfect for babies. Langley and her buddy Joseph loved it.

This pic is at our outdoor class that we go to. She loves being in the park with the other babies!

It's always more fun playing with other people's toys!!

Believe it or not Langley was 8 months on Saturday! I took quite a few pics that day to document. She is pulling herself up to standing very well now. She always wants to be on her feet! She loves playing with her new activity table and any boxes she can climb on. We have finally gotten over a cold that lasted a couple weeks, so sleeping and eating are getting a little better. She slept through the night one day this week, so I am hoping that may become more of the trend in the next several weeks. Still no teeth, but I have to think any day now one is going to pop up! We are having lots of fun....

Greg had a big day at work last week! He made rank O4, Lieutenant Commander. Gosh, I hope I got that military lingo right! He isn't here to confirm for me. :) So Grandma came down to babysitt, so that I could go pin the "gold flower" on him. He gave an inspiring speech to all the officers afterward - I was impressed!! :) Congrats Greg!

Langley and I went to the zoo last week with her Baby Signing class. It was a nice day, and she loved the flamingos!

Holding on for dear life!

We had our playgroup over a couple weeks ago. Langley stood by the coffee table most of the time watching all the kiddos run around. We probably had about 8 moms and babies, so it was crowded in our little house. This is Aden...he is adoreable with a huge personality.
