Pre-Thanksgiving Christmas Fun!

Wow, how Christmas is appearing earlier and earlier!  This year before Thanksgiving, we had already broken out our red and green.  We decided to take a family outing to St. Augustine for their holiday tree lighting.

This was Langley's first encounter with Santa this year.  We have a lot of warming up to do the next few weeks!  She wimpered not to sit in his lap.  But then she got brave enough to grab a couple lollipops from him!

Langley was very much into the holiday music!  We were cracking up and really wished we had our video camera to capture her great rhythm!

Indian Turkey Feaster

Gosh, I feel like these holidays are already flashing by!  Here I am already way behind on posting all the fun holiday memories.  (bear with me as I play catch up!)  I love this time of year and it makes it even more fun when you have a sweet little girl to share it with!  We were so happy to join Langley at school for her Thanksgiving feast.  Her class was very festive with Indian hats on, and Langley was so excited to eat her feast on the sweetest turkey placemat she made.   This one is a keeper for momma!

Alligator Galore!

Today we let our favorite veteran tinker with his dirt bike in the garage while we headed to the Alligator Farm with our mommy group!

Now home to celebrate Veteran's Day with Daddy!  I think a dinner at Taco Lu is on the agenda!

Chalk Talk

This is one of our new favorite spots!  She is a little determined when it comes to coloring.  She loves to tell her mommy what color to use and what to draw.  And then she insists on taking over and finishing the picture!  Thanks for helping me out Langley!  

Some of Langley's favorite things to draw right now are the ocean with daddy surfing, boats, cats, and dinosaurs.  She loves to draw mommy's and daddy's of everything.  (small and large)

My baby in a big girl bed!

This past weekend we got Langley's big girl bed ready for her.  She enjoyed being like mommy and daddy in her own big bed.  When I look at her snuggle in her sheets and blankies so cozy with her fingers, I still see my sweet little baby!   Growing up so fast...sigh, sigh.

She still isn't so sure about giving her crib to her baby brother!  After all the excitement for her big girl bed, I was really surprised that she asks to sleep in her crib quite often.  We are sticking with the bed though!  Langley hasn't crawled out at all, and she even reminds me to put her bedrail up at every sleep.  I love her little, cautious personality!  :)   The same yellow bed I slept in my entire childhood!
