Hands on Children's Museum

This summer we kept cool one day visiting the hands on children's museum.  So I am a little spoiled from the museums we had out in San Diego, but the kids thought it was the greatest place ever!  :)
Mason loved the train
 Langley hit the grocery store.
Did some cooking at the Diner.
 And took center stage!
We had a lot of fun!

Playdate with Abbi

Before moving out of our old house, Langley had her friend Abbi over one day.  They always have so much fun together!  This was the first time Abbi's mom didn't stay, so I took some pictures for her.

Coloring on their easels in their aprons.
Playing Elefun!  Catching butterflies out of the elephants trunk.
Having lunch while they also fed their babies next to them.
I just can't get enough of little girls playing together!  :)

A visit with Gi-Gi and family!

Langley and Mason are so blessed to have their Great Grandmother in their lives!  My Grandma Joyce(my dad's mom) is an amazing lady still going strong in her late eighties!  Always staying so busy and so pretty inside and out!
Every year on our way home from our Chuatuaqua trip we make an effort to stop and see her in Cleveland, Ohio.  Her and my Aunt Deanna just moved in together into a condo.  So it was great to catch up with everyone!   And Mason got to meet his Gi-Gi for the first time!
Langley loved her new pillowcase her 'Great' Aunt Deanna made her and her new paper dolls from Gi-Gi.
Mason was so thankful to receive a boy toy!!  Trucks and cars.
We met for dinner at my cousin Jamie's house.  Hard to believe that she also has two kids now!
A walk to the park and some playground time.
 Gi-Gi with 4 of her 7(soon to be 8) great-grandchildren.  What a special day!
Mason and Addie had fun checking each other out.
Langley loved playing Gi-Gi's piano.
We had a great visit and can't wait until next year! (if not sooner!)

Grandma Camp 2011

I can't let the summer get behind us before posting about Langley's special weekend in Aiken, SC for Grandma Camp!  We met them half way for the drop off for three nights.  She loved it!  My mom made her a T-shirt to document the weekend and they kept very busy.
They went to a transportation festival with trucks, ambulance, helicopters.
Langley loves playing in the pool and sprinklers at Grandma's house.
Langley and her clothes-line of art!
 Fun-times on the porch!
 At the lake
Made a special craft for Grandma's garden.
Langley insisted on hitting the concert in the park.  I think she wore them out!
Good memories all around!  Hmmm, I think Mason might be ready for Grandma Camp next year?  Grandma better rest up.

First Day of Preschool

Langley was very excited about her first day of preschool as a three year old!  This year she is going to school at our church.  A little confusing for her that church and school are the same place now!  :)  She started last wednesday and has been loving her new teacher and new class.  Her first day was a busy morning, since we still had many packed boxes and messes in our new house.  And also Langley had just gotten over a virus, so I wasn't even sure she would be able to go!  But she woke up looking good and excited for her first day, so we headed out!

Langley loves to make up songs...."Hi-Ho the Dairy-O I'm going back to school!"
She did great!  Didn't hesitate to leave her momma that morning.  Sigh.
A quick pic as she got settled for some coloring.
What a busy day!  She was wiped out when she got home.   After a nap we played with Model Magic.  This is the best stuff!   She got some for her birthday and it entertains for a long time and doesn't leave much mess.  My perk for the day.
Earlier in the week we had meet the teacher day!  Langley wasn't quite ready to take a picture with her teacher that day, but she adored the classroom and did not want to leave!
Can't believe the summer is coming to an end, and we are off to another great school year!
