Treated like a Queen! Mother's Day 2013

Rewind, rewind....So fun getting to join my sweeties in their classrooms for mother's day breakfast!
Mason greeted me at the door with a #1 MOM ribbon.  Loved that!
What a sweet Valentine you made for me Langley!
And my new favorite bag!
Langley with her friends Riley, Alaina, and Hudson from her class.

So much fun to join them and love that they are so excited to have me. :)  Embracing that while it lasts!

Bid our Final Farewell to Jacksonville!

So hard to leave such a great city full of so many awesome, amazing friends!!  This was definitely one of the hardest moves.  Langley just adores her friends, so we tried to spend as much time as we could with them before we left.  It may have been a bit overload...it was a long goodbye!!
Hudson and Langley took turns having sleepovers at each others houses.  They had been very excited about being able to do this.  They are two peas in a pod.  I love how their pictures looked just alike.
All ready for bed!  These two talked for a bit and they were off to sleep.  What good listeners!  :)
We met her mom for a mother-daughter Tea Party the next day.  So special!
Kelly and I said the girls did so well sleeping over, we probably should have started that earlier!
 sweet
Still miss this dear friend!  Hopefully we can visit soon!
Our final farewell to Stroller Strength!!  This was a tough one for me.  Kind of hard to work out when you are sad and holding back tears!  Lol.  This was such a great group for me, and even being reluctant to actually join in the beginning, I am so glad I got roped in!
Mason and his 2 fave girls.
Langley was so excited to give all her friends friendship necklaces she made for them.  (Thank you Lyla for that sweet birthday gift--bottlecap necklaces)
Langley couldn't seem to get off her phone. :)
Our fearless leader and wonderful friend of mine.  Kate has the "Don't mess with this momma!" look on her face.
We hit the splash park after class.  Fun memories here!
What a refreshing end to our journey with a great group of moms!!

Never gets old at Chautauqua Lake! And for the 4th!

I love getting back to Chautauqua Lake every year and so fun getting to take my kids there now too!  My aunt is so nice to welcome us to her house...we seem to be getting rowdy-er as the years go on. With our move to Omaha, Nebraska...arriving without our house ready yet, it was the perfect time to escape hotel living and get our yearly visit to Chautauqua Institution in.  16 hours later driving by myself with 2 tots...it was still worth it!  :)   Thank goodness for the IPad!  And for the sweet friends we got to visit on the way!  Greg had just checked into work, so he couldn't join us...but hopefully next year we will all finally make it together.
Langley was counting the minutes for us to arrive, because we had planned on celebrating her "real" birthday once we arrived with all the fam.  She had been waiting a few days past the real day to open her presents with everyone, so you can imagine how ready she was!  She decorated her cupcakes with Aunt Kathy.
with this sidekick helper.
and it was a big hoo-rah!
So excited to welcome Caroline to the fam!  So sweet, and we love her story.  She is known for her bravery.  We have been reading her book every morning(with my coffee:).  She loves that book!
Sweet pic with Grandma Susan.
"I've got that children's school enthusiasm down in my heart, where?  up in my head.  where?  down in my toes.  I've got that children's school enthusiasm all over me.  I'm coming back next year!!  You bet!!"   We were singing it all week--the theme song for camp.  I love it!
Hitting the bus with Aunt Kathy.
Mason wanted to stay so badly!  Next year buddy!
you are too cute, i'll take you.
A fun pet show for the kids at Smith Wilkes.  Very silly and they LOVED it!
Playing in Bestor while his sister was off at camp.  He loved this fountain.  Always begged not to leave.  Every time.
He could sit on this fish all day.
Langley made her debut at the 4th of July parade!  Grandma needs to pull out all the pics of me in this parade?!
Mason went along for the ride.  We made a quick topper for his head before we left the house.
Here she is!
And mason hopped in for a little bit too.  With his hands in his mouth.  You are a big boy!
They sang there songs loud and strong in front of the colonnade.  It was a show!
Walking the dog was a favorite daily activity.  Or should I say Cami walking Langley.
4th of july picnic in the park with the symphony...so cultured!  the kids got to take turns conducting the symphony at the end.
off to camp with grandpa.  we missed the bus!  this was a big day because, langley got to swim in the lake at camp.
A great trip out on the lake with Aunt Kathy's boat.  It was cold!!  (at least for me)
I love this one...
my boy with no fear...wasn't quite sure about the boat and swimming out in the middle of that big lake.  i was really surprised!  but you did it mason man and were so brave!  i have a feeling next year he will be wake-boarding off the back.
Great, great, great week...family, fun, porches, no cars, no buckles, books, great sermons, lectures, music, a simple lake...you can't get much better than that!
