Chautauqua Lake

Chautauqua Institute is a place where I have spent nearly every summer of my life. A great family meeting spot! So it has definitely been neat sharing it with Langley the past couple of years. It is a great escape from the hustle and bustle and lots of freedom for kids and parents! Thanks Kathy for having us! It was a blast!

Running around bestor plaza. So happy to have so much space to walk!

Taking a tram ride around the grounds.

Taking shelter from the rain at the Childrens school playground. Sitting with Grandma.

Langley got to meet my mom's cousins, son's little boy...whatever that makes him? Her and Charlie had lots of fun together.

More fun with Charlie....two squirmies!

We had fun playing at the Lake. The water was cold, but it didn't seem to bother Langley!

Strutting along with Aunt Kathy. Langley is so cute and confident these days!

Playing in the fountain at Bestor Plaza. Sitting on the fishes. I remember being in this same spot as a kiddo.

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a great time over the 4th! We spent the weekend with the Arnold's in Irvine while daddy was away on the ship. We went to a parade, had a cookout with the Axlines, and stayed up late to watch the fireworks. Langley was so brave during the fireworks, she didn't even cry!

Langley's First Birthday Party

We had a blast celebrating Langley's first birthday! It is hard to believe a year has gone by. She has been so much fun. Her personality is really blossoming. She has countless expressions that make us laugh. And she is definitely getting around, walking everywhere! She had a great time at her party.

Getting ready for her big day!

All ready to go!! She had her fancy birthday duds on that Grandma-ma Haberkost made for her.

We had a flower theme!

This was my attempt in making birthday cakes. :)

Greg says this is our tribute to Neverland! All the toys in the backyard.

Definitely kept everyone busy!

Langley LOVED her cake! She was very curious at first, but didn't hesitate in eating the icing. Then she went to town. I'm not sure how much actually went in her mouth.

Mom and dad survived the first year! Whewwee!

Langley showing Grandpa her new colorful snake that Grandma Arnold knitted for her. So cute!

Having fun with her buddies!
Langley loves riding in her new wagon! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
We were so thankful to have all our family here! Langley couldn't get enough attention!

The party can't be over??!!

One Year Old

After all the family left on Langley's birthday, we headed to the beach to hang out with some friends. We took a few pictures of Langley. She was having a ball!
