Thankfulness 2011

We had a great November full of fun Thanksgiving times with lots to be thankful for!
For family times...all together at Langley's Thanksgiving feast at school.
We were thankful for friends.  Langley and I put a little pinterest in action(which doesn't happen often) and made turkey cookies for her class.  Although Langley kept calling them chickens.  :)

And very thankful for Langley's teacher Ms. Denise!
Thankful for a cozy Thanksgiving weekend at home in Jacksonville...
with family.
Thankful for walks on the beach!  Which is where we spent most of our time.
And for Langley!
Thankful for Grandpas...
And for our first tennis lesson with him!   (special!)
Thankful for our little pro.  ;)
Thankful for a beautiful day for football with neighbors.
and for wagon rides.
We gave big thanks for Uncle Toddy to come visit!
For brothers and sisters...
and Mason!
For silly times with Grandma Susan.
Thankful for our 1ST Thanksgiving dinner...
 and for our 3RD!
And very thankful for the many blessings God has given us!
Especially for His grace and love!
Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!!!

Family GET-A-WAY Delight!!

We had an amazing family vacation this Fall up in Northport, Michigan with two of our favorite families!   The B's and D's are great military friends in which the guys all met in flight school when all this craziness began!  :)   And us girls have stuck together through many deployments!  We love these friends like family and it was so fun to see all our kids together over the week.  The B's introduced us to a beautiful, new favorite spot.  Never knew Michigan was so gorgeous!
"Oh, how times have changed!"  :)   Enjoying a walk with their sons!

Lake Michigan
sweet girls chatting
and playing in the water.
We visited the Dunes.   Langley is in the blue and A is just ahead of her.
I hadn't even unpacked the car and they were already on top!
Needless to say they were tired out by the time they came back down and back up again!  We were all rolling laughing watching MR.MOM.   I think the lunch box in his hand is what really set us off.  :)
Shoulder rides all around!  Way to wear them out girls!
So much more of the park to explore, but all the little legs couldn't make it any further.  It was a beautiful day.  A small tidbit...this park was voted by Good Morning America as the most beautiful spot this year!  Loved it!
One day we went apple and grape picking.  Sidenote:  Our friends have property in the area and plan on farming grapes one day.  Love that we will be able to come visit them (and drink their wine!).  ;-)
Loved seeing a little FALL while we were there!
carefree-apple eaters...aren't we here to pick?
 The beautiful D Family
Lots of fun times relaxing at the house.
The babies...Mason and A were born on the same day!  And E is just a month earlier.
Mason and A sharing nicely!
Quiet times

Down by the lake soaking up the sunset.
 The girls lovin' every minute!
Loved snuggling on the porch in their chairs.   And who's idea was it to play with the TP?
the three amigos
One morning we headed to a light house on the lake.
she must take after her dad, because Langley found a good stick and she was ready to explore.
a couple fam pics.
It finally got a tad chilly one day we were there!  We had the best weather all week!  Our fam decided to brave the rain and check out downtown traverse city.  Definitely our kind of city.  Lots of culture and atmosphere.  Great food, cute, cute place.
Langley playing in the cherry pits.
Shopping and playground time in Sutton Bay one morning.
Baby E was just an angel with his red hair and big blue eyes!
Little E swingin' with Auntie K.
H got all the kids matching PJ's.  They loved it and Langley wants to wear hers every night!
We are ready for next year already!  And Langley can't stop talking about her new "cousins".  :)  Thanks H and K for putting this ALL together.  We were so glad this last minute family vacation worked out for us!
