I was so excited to hear about the apple season being big here in Omaha--Yay!! We had so much fun getting back to some apple picking. We always used to do this in California. I love the Fall!! There are a few places to pick apples very close to our house, but we had heard that Arbor Day Farms was worth the 45 minute drive. It was so nice! They had an apple-jack festival going on this weekend, so there was all kinds of stuff going on in the town...but we stuck to just the Farm...maybe next year we will do more.
Pop!
There was a nice trail with lots of things to explore.
Being silly in the tree house.
Two itsy bitsy spiders...
These two are always making obstacle courses through our house, so this was the perfect place to get this out of their system. Langley could have sat in her spider hammock all day. While Mason loved the colorful fabric hammocks they had.
Until he found this little creek...hours of entertainment.
And wood blocks...we haven't even gotten to the apples yet?!
Finally....now onto the farm!! :) We snuck a few apples before getting on the hayride around the grounds.
Why do I think dead sunflowers are so lovely?!
And I have an obsession with these black seed pods...all dried out. I don't know...I love the texture, the color, the change of season...they are pretty!!
It looks like we found some apples! And there were a ton of them!
Aww moment with Daddy.
Loved having a little family time to get away from our hectic schedule and relax! Love to see Mason's crazy personality beaming through in this one. He's going through this silly face phase. :)
I think this one might take after his Grandma Deanna...the apple snatcher!! ;)
We will definitely be back here every year! The apples were good too!
