Three Delightful Mason Months

All stretched out from head to toes!
He loves sucking his hands and sticking those legs up in the air.
Our little man's hair has quite the style these days!  He is losing his baby hair and has a new layer of fuzz coming in.  So cute!

I think I have struck gold.
Ready for a stroll
Loves concentrating on his friends with his feet.
Working those legs again!  Langley always says MOM, he is doing his legs again!
Oh my, hold on tight sister!  :)
Langley is starting to make him smile more and more.
scrunched little sleeper
this momma hearts day gowns :)
We love you sweet boy!

Diaper Fairy

This was outside Langley's door one morning this week!  Yes, the diaper fairy has now arrived at our house.  Leaving her fairy dust and all!  If you remember, we tried potty training pre-Mason, but it just didn't CLICK!  So this week being Langley's Spring Break, we are back at it!  (and no turning back!)  Langley is doing really well and the diaper fairy has even visited a couple nights to leave her prizes for keeping dry all day!   Keep it up Langley!  And say a prayer for us!  :)

Bring your bike to school day!

Langley and Abbi
The kids were off to the races in the parking lot of the church.  They had a blast!  Langley loved riding with her friends!

"Green for Patty's Day!"

Langley was anxious to get out of her PJs on "Pattys Day" and get her green on!  Especially so that her daddy would stop pinching her.   We headed to the park with our mommy group for some st. patty's cheer!
Mason snoozin' again!
We colored st. patty's posters!
And then onto a parade...a small one!  :)
 They loved marching!
Afterward we headed to Hudson's for lunch and playtime!
We had so much fun!  Did not want it to come to an end...even left kicking and screaming!

Our Weekend

This is the time to be in Florida!  The weather has been glorious here.   We are trying to get out and take advantage as much as possible before the humidity hits!
Thankfully Langley is asking to "practice" her new tricycle!  This was a Christmas gift, and I was convinced she wasn't really into it because it wasn't pink and glittery.  :)   But girl, we have to go classic on some things in this house!  Your brother will appreciate it one day.  And now we are rollin'!!
Right after church on sunday, instead of going out to eat, we decided to go to the beach to have a picnic.  Langley loved her surprise outing!
And Mason snoozed away in his carseat the whole time.  Hmm, now why can't you do that when we go to a restaurant?   :)
It was a foggy morning with
lots of running around
and looking cute (mom, do you have to take 500 pictures?)
and being sweet with daddy
and mommy
and all to get very sandy!
We are lucky to have this in our backyard.  (i am promoting visitors here)
And then we get in the car and reality hits!!!   I am so tired and my mommy forgot my blankie!
This was Langley all the way home until it was in her arms.
These are the days to remember!!!

Mason Month TWO!

Wow, I am already late posting month two for Mason!  You'd think with the sleepless nights the time would go by slow?   Loving getting to know Mason man!
First smiles for the camera.
2 months old on this day...
His hair is looking a little red in some pics, just like Langley's did.
Spending lots of time sucking his hands the past few days.  Looks like he might find his thumb!

Milestones and Mommy notes:
  • Cooing and Gurgling
  • Smiling
  • First roadtrip to Aiken, SC to see grandma and grandpa
  • First outing to the beach
  • First outing to the gym
  • Weighed 11 lbs. 8 oz. mid-month
  • Wearing mostly 3 to 6 month clothes  (actually a little bit of every size up to 12 months...everything is so different!)
  • Loves being swaddled tight and the bink
  • Trying to find his thumb.  "But mom, how am I supposed to find it when you always have my hands swaddled up?"   Oops.
  • Loves watching his mobile and listening to his momma and sister sing twinkle, twinkle.
  • Loves sleeping in the baby carrier.  (something langley would never do!)
  • The carseat is NOT his favorite spot.
  • Down around 9, waking around 3:30am to feed and back to sleep until 6 or 7 in the morning.  (most of the time!)
  • Good napper.  "He has been sleeping 4 hours, should I wake him up??"
  • Fussiest between 6 and 8 in the evenings.  Thank goodness for the swing.  And he loves his mom to hold him while she eats her dinner.  ;)

Just what the doctor ordered!

I am looking forward to a week that doesn't involve going to the doctor!  Anyone else have the bug going around?  It was great to get away to Aiken, SC for a few days with the kids.  We enjoyed a "Dora Explorer" adventure through Aiken State Park.
"My name is not Langley, it is Dora!"
The map says this way Grandma!

What a beautiful day!  And it took our mind off all our sniffles, coughs, and plugged ears.  :)
Hmmm, and next time we must not forget Dora's backpack!
