Zoo Trip with the Boys

Langley had a great time at the zoo with her Grandpa and Uncle Todd. We are trying to hang out with boys anytime we can to make up for Daddy being gone! But unfortuantately it was Grandma's turn with the stomach bug, so she had to stay home.

Langley loved riding the elephant! She kept petting it's head.

Checking out the polar bear's Christmas tree...

The Tigers were pacing!

Christmas Day Part II

We are having a very nice visit with my parents and brother here in San Diego!

Langley had a ball unwrapping her gifts and playing with her new toys from Santa! Christmas morning my uncle Keith who also lives in San Diego joined us for a nice brunch!

My family on Christmas Day!

Langley with her Grandma and Grandpa!

After brunch we headed up to Irvine to see The Arnold's. Playing with Aunt Cindy and more christmas presents from the Arnold's! So much to enertain! What a lucky little girl!

After our gift exchange at the Arnold's we headed to Greg's Aunt Donna and Uncle Bill's house for Christmas dinner. It was so nice of them to welcome my family for Christmas dinner! Here is Greg's cousin Brian and Grandma Deanna!

And the whole gang crowded around the big table! You can sort of see everyone! We welcomed Jill and Dave to the family...both just got engaged to Greg's cousins Brian and Carrie. We all missed having Gregory there!!!

What a jam-packed, fun-filled day we had!! We were very thankful to have so much family surrounding us! Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa Claus pays a visit!

Here we are reading the night before Christmas on Christmas Eve night. Langley prefers Frosty the Snowman...we always have to read that one first!

Checking Santa's key at the front door!

Here is Langley as she walked in to see what Santa had left. Langley stood her distance for awhile taking it all in. She pointed at everything...saying first "ba-boo" for baby and then "car".

Now we are getting in to it!! This is for me from Santa??

I think Langley could have played with her baby set for hours before moving on to anything else!

Feeding her sock monkey some breakfast in her babies high chair.

Checking out her new car!

Enjoying her new throne. A little something special from Grandma and Grandpa!

Langley visits Santa

Langley and I went to the ship's Christmas party this week and Santa Claus was there!

This is Langley peaking around the tables to look at Santa. She didn't want to get too close to him!

Poor Langley (or should I say poor Santa!?) just wasn't so sure about this!

Christmas Tree and Decorating

We were so thankful for the Arnold's to come down last week! They were so kind to watch Langley while I did a zillion errands! It was the perfect time for me to grab a tree and made putting it up a lot easier.

And Grandma Arnold made Langley a sweet little old-fashioned Santa. It is so adoreable! The funny thing is that Langley is scared of it! She only gets so close to Santa. Most of the time she will run up and touch his nose and then run off. And she will cry if I try to get her to cuddle with Santa! I can only imagine what it is going to be like when I take her to get her photos with Santa...I will have the video camera ready! It is so funny how mysterious Santa is to little children even at a young age!

Now onto the Ocean Beach Christmas Parade!

So it was a busy night with the sock party, but we couldn't miss the Ocean Beach Christmas parade! I remember first moving to california and the Ocean Beach Christmas parade was my first taste of christmas here. I was a little perplexed by all the surfing santa's, bizzare floats, and crazy performances. But this parade definitely grows on you and is such a fun way for the community to come together! Pretty much anyone in the neighborhood can enter this parade, so it always has lots of character! Daddy would have been very upset if we missed this one, because it is his favorite...

Langley loved sitting on the edge of the street to watch the excitement!

The OB off key choir float....

A semi truck with a cow!!

This was a white walking tree man??? :) You gotta love OB, California!!!

Holiday party time!

We had a really fun night at our "active mommy and daddy" holiday sock party! Hazel's house is so fun and I loved playing with all her toys!

Mom, I really want to go play...really...no time for pictures!

I love to SHHHH babies to sleep.

Hmmm that looks intersting...

This horse was just my size.

Let the Christmas fun begin!!

Last night we went to Balboa Park for their "December Nights". We had a great time! Langley loved watching the big tree light up. And seeing santa's sled with reindeer.

It was a very cultural event. They had food from every country imaginable! We decided to try Indian food. Very good! And all the museums were free to go into...didn't do much of this though with the Langster. Fun night!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Arnold's this year! It was great seeing the Axline's. Langley loved sitting at the long table with everyone. She kept pointing at Grandma all the way on the other end.

Cheers!!
Big Bite! Yum yum!

Water Bottle Seat

Langley's activity table has come back to life recently, because she has discovered a new favorite spot to sit in our kitchen. It's just the right height for her to play the piano keys.
