All about Mason at 4 YR old

Here our boy is almost 4.5 now that I am getting to this post, but i didn't want to pass this one up!  I loved looking back at some of his pictures from 2014 and it was such a great year for him.  Here are a few from our family celebration at christmas time.  His face was all lit up and he requested the same peppermint ice cream pie i had made that week for Christmas for his birthday dessert, so that was easy!  :)  He wore his favorite Ninja Turtle shirt that day and picked to go bowling with the family.
And started off with some birthday confetti pancakes.
Mason continues to have a super silly, fun, trickster...yet snuggly and thoughtful personality.  Im working hard on making him a vol fan...need help!
I love that he will still get out Daddy's boots and be silly.
The zoo is still one of his fave spots.  He loves the aquarium and having lunch with the prairie dogs.
I love looking back at this sweet little face in the carpool line wiped out.  He was pretty much over his nap at 3, but if you get him in the car he will be out!
And at night you never know where or how you might find him.  He is our restless one at bedtime and has always been a wanderer out of his bed.  When i go downstairs to check on him, i will usually find asleep surrounded by books and fort that he's created.  He's just so busy!
He looks up to Langley in every way and dives right into her "girly" plan most of the time.  He truly craves for her to love him and want to play with him!  He's definitely had his toes painted a time or two and worn a loom band bracelet here and there.  We always do boy colors though!;)  And i love to find rare moments like this when all are getting along and playing nicely!!
I think the time between 3 and 4 is that sweet spot where they always want to be a helper.  Must embrace it while it lasts!  He's always ready to help with baking...and eating "sugar".
he's definitely all boy when it comes to bugs and worms.  they are his "pets".  i found his the other day with TONs of worms in a bowl!  i about died...it was so gross!
he still loved visiting the forest for mud pies this year!
and always loves his lunch dates with momma.  so handsome!  i am a lucky mom!
always snuggled in a pile of laundry or hiding in blankets, building forts with pillows.
Mason has fun at the library.  His favorite part is the computer of course(why must they have iPads at a library??).  This momma tries her best to keep his focus on the books!  He loves doing the crafts and started to outgrow the story time a bit by the end of the year.  His favorite is going to Science time on Wednesday afternoons.  Our library is awesome!
Mason has been an amazing big brother!  He really hasn't had any jealousy with the new baby on board.  Mason is so good at reading and playing with Dean.  Even if it may mean blabbing and goo-goo gaa-ing very loudly in his face!  ;)  And is happy staying at home while momma takes care of the baby.  Very proud of him!
He LOVES having Dean next to him at meals.  Langley and him have to take turns because Dean is in high demand!  :)  Mason serenades him with the sweetest songs while he eats his lunch.
Just melts my heart seeing these two...
Im praying he continues to love Dean and want him to be a part of everything as much as he does now!!

"i wish this car had an everything button.  where you could push it and it would turn into anything you wanted."

he always talks about his "jet pack" that will take him to the heavens.  zoom zoom.

"This will really fun it up, mom"

"sure thing"  "sure"  "of course"  ...i say to him "sure" is not the best manners, how about "yes, thank you??"

As he eats his dum dum lollipop..."mom, you know not everyone has toothbrushes.  some people have to use lollipops for a toothbrush"

he is convinced his teachers do not leave the school building..."they live here mom".  and that grandma is moving into the senior center next to his school where he visits the elderly.  he has told me multiple times that "grandma lives here now". :)

At times when the older boys on our street may hurt his feelings on occasion, he has said "its okay mom i still want to be their friends, you have to give your friends a chance, build them up, its my commandment".  :)  His little school has been amazing and has taught him so many life lessons that are sinking in...He's into giving "comp-pa-mints" and "building each other up"!  Yay Mason!

We love your imagination, silliness, and kind heart!!  I'm so thankful that I get the privilege of being your momma!!
