A Royal Celebration !! Langley turns 4 !

Can't believe my baby Langley is already a 4 year old !!  Wow !!  Since Daddy was away, to celebrate we decided to go super girly with a Royal Celebration!  And nothing could make Langley happier than a princess party!  She was so excited.  And maybe we will get this princess craze out of her system?!  :)  Ha, ha!  I have actually heard from my friends with older girls that this princess phase usually only lasts a short while, so I am embracing it while it is here!  :)   So for now we will have a different favorite princess each week.   :)
Such a hot, steamy day even the camera fogged up outside!  Thanks to my sweet friend Summer(who also has a sweet, princess crazed little girl) for letting me borrow this blow up and the princess backdrops!
Langley loved coming downstairs that morning to see all her favorite princesses hanging on the walls!

Mason giving his favorite princess sister a pre-party hug!
We made lots of yummies...

mouse crackers and princess wands

...and tried to tackle the princess gown cake.  Actually not too hard!  Thank you u-tube tutorials. :)

The big surprise of the day was Cinderella knocking at the door!  Langley was squealing, "there is a real princess at the door!  It is a real princess!".  Just a tad excited.
Cinderella read them a princess story.
The girls sat in awe.  Calmest moment of the party!  :)
Cinderella brought a Tiara craft for them to make.  They loved it!
Langley getting her nails painted by Cinderella.  We usually just do our toes now an then, so Langley was so happy.
Cinderella taught the girls how to dance like a princess.  Lovely twirls and curtsies.
Cinderella uses her fairy dust to turn Langley into a real princess for the day!
Singing the birthday song to Langley.

All the girls got their pictures with Cinderella, and we did our best to get a group shot with our sweet friends!
Mason meets Cinderella.  He had his hands in his mouth most of the party--not quite sure what to think about all her sparkles!
Giving Cinderella one last goodbye hug!
Thank you friends for coming to my party and being a princess with me!!
Grandpa Don was our token man at the party!  Langley said he was the prince!
So glad to have him and Grandma Susan to celebrate with us!  And such a great help too!
Langley had so much joy opening all her special gifts from her friends.  She loved every one of them!
So excited to share our videos with Daddy!  Happy Birthday to my big girl!  You are a J-O-Y to have in our lives!

Our Father's Day

We were thinking about our Father's Day in May so that Greg would get his goodies in time on the ship.  And now that it is almost a month after Father's Day it seems like forever ago!  Thank you to pinterest for some cute craft ideas and printables for him.   I mean-- for a Dad--the cuter the better!   :)
This one was for his birthday!
He has to wear a black t-shirt under his flight suit every day.  Thought we would make our mark on him!  Thank you to my friend Marie for this idea!
So when Father's Day finally did arrive...we definitely missed our favorite Dad!  We stayed busy with some good military friends that we don't get to see too often.  The Conlon's came over from Julian Creek(about 45 minutes from us) and spent the day with us at the beach and had dinner.  (no pics from that...too busy keeping up with all our kids i guess!?)  We loved catching up with our old San Diego friends!  She is home with 3 kids while her husband is away now too.  So it was the perfect time for us to get together so we didn't have to think about the fact that it was Father's Day without them!  And the crazy thing is that Greg and her husband keep bouncing into each other over in the middle east at random spots even though they aren't even in the same battle group or ship.  Small military world!  Greg sent me this picture of one of his Chris sitings.   I think Greg was quite jealous of Chris' mustache...something they all do at some point on every deployment.  These guys deployed together about 8 years ago and here they are still going at it!  Hard to believe.  Good friends.  We are already planning a family camping trip when they both get home.
Greg's port visits have been so-so this deployment so far.  He was excited about a stop in Seychelles.  I thought this was a good time to share a pic he passed along to me.  It is a spec on the map off the coast of Southeast Africa.  Some well-deserved R&R off the ship!
Happy Father's Day Daddy-O!!  We miss you!
