The Big Halloween Day!

Langley has been so excited for trick or treating!  Her favorite phrase this week has been, "trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat!".   Of course she learned this from her candy-loving daddy.  :)  We had a great, busy Halloween day.
Started with yummy pumpkin waffles!  A mouth full of them.  I think we have enough on that plate!
Carving the pumpkin with daddy!  Langley loved the idea of a Mickey Mouse pumpkin.
Lady Bug all ready to roll!  Yay, it's getting dark!

 And flap, flap, flap!
Trick or Treater in action!  She always had the biggest grin after getting her candy and always ready for the "next house!"
 Admiring her stash!
The final Ta-Da!  Way to go Gregory!!

Lady Bug arrives!

Last weekend Grandma Susan came into town and she brought me my Halloween costume!  I have been so excited to be a lady bug!  I had to put it on right away!  I love buzzing around with my antennas and spots. Thanks Grandma Susan for making me a special, home-made goodie for Halloween!  I can't wait to go trick or treating!

We got to debut it this week while trick or treating at a retirement home.  It was a great outing and I think we really cheered up the residents!

And did I mention I got my first stash of candy?   On the way home I took every piece one by one and asked mommy, "what's this?".  It didn't take me long to get them all down...Nerds, Kit Kat, Dum Dum, Nestle, Hersheys, Laffy Taffy.  Oh my!

Playdate Pumpkins

Today wasn't just the ordinary playdate.  Ryan and Hudson came to my home!  And we got to do lots of pumpkin stuff!
We glued silly faces on our pumpkins!
 Bring on the sugar!
We made our pumpkin cupcakes look so pretty with frosting and sprinkles!
I love this pumpkin time of year!  Especially pumpkin cupcakes!  My mommy even calls me her pumpkin sometimes.  Now I know what she means!  Now onto the toys and working on our big girl sharing...

Library goes Spooky!

We love the libraries here in Jacksonville!  So impressed by this little Halloween party they put on for the kids.  Langley was too excited to put her Halloween outfit on that Grandma sent in the mail.  We got creative and rolled everything, so it wasn't too hot!  She wants to wear it everyday now.
Langley loved her pumpkin bag to put all her prizes in.

Halloween memory game
witches pot
 pumpkin toss
 bat craft
the ghost sucker didn't last very long!
So many cute ideas!  Langley loved it!

Day at the Farm!

We headed to the farm this week with a mommy group we have been checking out.  It was a great, warm day in the Florida sun!  A very busy morning!
We started at the corn maze!

When Langley thinks of corn, she always talks about husking corn with Grandpa.  So I got to hear that story a lot as we navigated through the corn!
Miss Boo Hoo was not sad a bit about her cow-ride!
Off they go!  And they were bookin' it!
Lots of looking at animals.  Horses, pigs, chickens, bunnies, and cows!  Langley kept holding her nose saying, "what's that smell?"  Stinky!
They got to feed the pigs.
Langley was not happy about the pig knocking his bowl over.  "Messy pigs!"
We met a sweet little girl named Katherine.
Hi there!
A pool of corn!  Langley wanted to skip lunch and hang out in here.
Trying to find the perfect pumpkin.  She loved the bumpy ones, but most were too heavy!
This little one was just right!
Loved this day with my sweet girl!
She was instantly asleep in the car on the way home.  Followed by a sing-a-thon in our crib when we got back to the house.  :-)     A great warm, Fall day!

Out to Eat and Bubbles!

When we are out and about Langley is always saying, "What next mommy?"  And lots of times she follows with, "Out to eat?".  She has already developed a love for a nice dinner out...even if her favorite is Wendy's!
Her daddy must be rubbing off on her, because he is always looking for local neighborhood spots for us to eat at in our new city!  After church we checked out a yummy sub shop.  We loved the duck taped booths and unmatching chairs throughout the joint....no pics of all the character though.

Late afternoons have been cooling off around here, so Langley and I hit the drive-way for some bubble time!
So Refreshing!
