Our beach backyard...we will miss you!!

We never thought we would end up with a new house on the beach in military housing.  We felt so lucky getting a spot and loved it!  Quick walks on the beach after dinner and hearing the waves--so lucky.  Before we left for Omaha, I scrambled to have a friend of a friend, Sarah Eddy, come take pictures one afternoon--seems like it is always so hard to squeeze in family photos?  It was actually raining, a drizzle, when we stepped out into our backyard...I was thinking... "oh my!  my hair!  it's raining!" :)  And after saying that, I turned around and there was a rainbow staring me in the face.  It was a perfect afternoon and fun...and I love all the spots she captured because they bring back great memories for us!
All is right in the world!!!!!  It had been a long couple months...which i may post about soon. :)
my favorite sandwich...a family sandwich...lettuce, tomato, mayo??  ;)

So proud of our GRADUATE!!!

I think all grandparents are in disbelief when they see preschoolers holding a graduation with cap and gown!!  Times have changed!  My dad joked and said this may be the only cap and gown you see----PLEASE NO!!!  :)  Ha, Ha!  Langley had such an amazing year in VPK and can't believe we almost have a Kindergartener!!
I think Langley will always remember Mrs. Popp.  She loved the kids so much, always spoiling them with fun things to take home whatever it might be.  She was very sarcastic and it took awhile for Langley to get used to her sense of humor at the beginning of the year, but quickly learned that Mrs. Popp loves to be silly!  She is a pirate lover and has an obsession with Jack Sparrow and loves going over the top with everything.  Really good at making learning fun.  Langley will always remember the "Your In Trouble" song they played in the class.  So glad that Langley had a fun year before she has to hit the books in REAL school!
Langley and Anna Claire--they look so big and grown up!
Langley with Mrs. Lisa.  Langley loved her so much too!

Soccer Girl

Langley played her second season of soccer this year.  It was so fun!  She is a social butterfly out there on the field at 4 years old, especially with lots of her favorite girlfriends on her team!  But as the season went on all the kids got their game faces on more and more!
This superman is ready for some soccer too!
Langley had her first goal!!!  I think her big kick may have collided off another person's feet first before going in the goal, but we'll take it!!  :)  She threw her arms up in the air and then looked back at me and gave me the thumb's up--loved how excited she was!
What a great season!  She was most excited about her trophy!  And somehow I didn't get a picture of that!

Amazing Love!! He is Risen, Easter 2013!

Oh my, I must get caught up!  But right now we are going to pretend like it is still Easter!
Spring Break and Easter lined up this year, and mom and dad took the munchkins for a few days back to Aiken.  We couldn't get over how quiet our house was!  Before heading back to Aiken we stopped for a night in Beaufort, SC.  Loved this little southern town!
Greg deployed with a friend from Beaufort, so he made it easy.  We went everywhere he told us and everything was so good.
beautiful old churches
quiet historic graveyard
swampy, big trees...which i can't think of the kind right now.
the inlets are so pretty
We had an awesome time!!  Yummy, yummy food!!
So excited to get back to our littles and celebrate Easter!!  Here they are Easter morning ready to look for their baskets.
The Easter bunny was very sweet to them!  Mason loved his new Dr. kit and Langley her new ponies.
Taking advantage of some smiles all dressed up for Easter morning before the meltdowns hit.
Grandma's garden is so pretty too!  Way to go mom!  :)
Great to have Greg home with us this year!!
Somehow the Easter bunny hid eggs while we were at church!  Still no melt downs!
What a great week!!  Thanks G&G for entertaining me so much all week!  I heard it was a marathon of fun!  I think that might need to be another blog post---need your pics! ;)
