Hip Hip Hooray for Grandma and Grandpa coming to stay!

It is always nice to have Deanna and Norm come to visit!  This is something we ALL get very excited about weeks before, since we don't get to see them as much anymore!  :(  Langley and Mason loved every minute of catching up with them, and they are always a big help with everything!  We had a lot of downtime this trip too, so it was nice.  Spent lots of time taking advantage of walking (and exploring!) the beach just outside our door.  Mason loved napping in his crib every morning rather than being dragged out the door each day.  And Langley loved having them pick her up from school one day and going to dance class with her.  It was a special week that went by way too quickly!  My pics are slim, because I forgot to get Deanna's off her camera before she left.
We all went out to dinner at a special restaurant that has the largest collection of taxodermy in America! LOL.   There were stuffed animals everywhere!  Kind of like a stiff zoo.  :)  Langley absolutely loved it and is always asking to go back!
Langley and a squirrel, I think?
The tickets for Christmas are BOOKED!!!   We can't wait.  :)))))

Hidden Hills Horse Ranch

As the summer was coming to an end (yes, i am so behind!), we had a fun day spent at hidden hills horse ranch!  Definitely, "hidden", for I had no idea this cute place was tucked behind a bunch of shopping malls here!  Nothing like a horse ranch in suburbia. :)
We took a hayride to see the horses...our one group pic.  :)
And we got to feed them hay.
And the big highlight was riding a pony 'all by herself'!  (without any protection or harnesses.  LOL)
Mason loved being part of it all and had so much fun sitting in the wagon wheel.
 Gitty Up!

Ordinary, yet Extraordinary

As a mom these are the moments to remember...ordinary times.
Snuggling up under a blankie fort.
Staying in our PJ's while raiding momma's jewelry drawer.
A sweet little boy helping me unpack boxes.
Finding Langley asleep in the middle of all her toys...after fighting her nap.
Just took a second for Mason to end up here.
This sweet, messy face!
I love these days, and definitely don't want these kind of moments to pass me by.

Clappin', Cruisin', and Bruisin'...

MASON IS 9 MONTHS OLD!  I can't believe how fast my little snuggle bugs is growing!  He has been such a cheerful boy.  We have had a very fun month full of new firsts for Mason.
Clapping.  So excited for his new trick.  He spent the entire weekend clapping away when he first learned.
Cruising.  He is walking along just about everything he can get his hands on!
Which of course, leads to the Bruising!  We had our first boo-boo.  The toy grocery cart toppled over him.  :(
We watched our first Vols game on TV this month.  Someone in this house needs to teach this boy a little about football!  :)
He loves to swing with lots of giggles!
And here are some shots of our handsome fellow on his 9 month birthday.  I could just eat him up!  :) After church I plopped a chair in the backyard and tried to get some pics....he nearly took a dive to the ground!
We just adore you sweet baby Mason!
