After the holiday rush we had a fun Monkey party for our favorite Christmas birthday boy! We celebrated at a playground on base close to our house. It was a deceivingly chilly morning, but beautiful day to get out and get some fresh air! The kids had a blast monkeying around.
The birthday boy was ready to party!
This was our first outdoor birthday party--putting up everything in the wind was quite the task. I had no idea! The balloons were a flyin'.
This monkey got lots of feeding!
Two sweet little monkey's organizing all their bananas.
The kids loved digging for Monkeys in the bird seed. After we left there were some happy birds at this playground!
Mason and his buddy Evan climbed the wall over and over!
Whatever you do don't pull my tail.
Langley was happy to have some of her closest friends at the party too. They all have siblings that are Mason's age...good friends!
We had a banana hunt! All the big kids were in charge of hiding the bananas for the little ones.
Little monkey Caroline loved her monkey ears. Didn't take them off once!
Kate is one of Mason's favorite pals in his class at school. We love her!
Working on their Monkey paper plate craft.
and coloring.
Mason loved having Grandma Susan part of his big day!
Eating Mason's favorite food --- pizza. I think I should have bought him his very own pizza.
Yay--finally! The candles kept blowing out on their own because of the wind, so Mason was quite fascinated by that.
Time to dig in. With his ears falling off he looks more like Yoda.
And now onto the cookies.
And daddy says its not a party without a piñata!
Wack him!! These things are made of steel.
As Langley would say the "finale" was the Limbo and bubbles. Its time to get down low!
Lollipop heaven!
Thanks for swinging by my party! We had so much fun monkey--ing around.
I had a great time partying with you Mason monkey!!
